Design for Living
Design for Living is a website which concentrates on providing the very best luxury products for your home. It gathers products from retailers such as John Lewis, Marks and Spencer and Habitat, and displays them in several easy-to-use categories. Customers can add products to their ‘Moodboard’ to see if they will go well together in their home, and their Moodboard is stored for up to 30 days. If they decide to buy, they can go direct to the retailers website from Design for Living, and buy them there.
D4L is similar in concept to an eCommerce website, but with several special features. Products are imported daily from the retailers, ensuring that the most up to date offers and prices are always available. This could not be done easily using any of the third-party eCommerce software (such as Magento, Prestashop, OpenCart), so we built a custom solution based on our own iUpdate CMS and eCommerce Admin system.
